Network Rail grants full approval for Auger Torque Mulcher Range
Auger Torque, the leading manufacturer and global provider of earthmoving attachments have been awarded full acceptance certification by Network Rail for use with its VM1000 and VM1500 mulchers for the removal of low-level vegetation, tree’s, and other shrubs during infrastructure vegetation management along railway lines.
Launched to the global market in 2020, this range of mulchers are the ultimate attachment for versatility on site. Providing a working width of 1.5m, the mulcher can be mounted on both excavators (5-15T) and skid steer loaders. But what makes this attachment most unique is the ability to be able to change the drum on-site allowing for change over when there are various types of vegetation to clear, or simply if the operator is not sure what they will be met with when on site.
The fixed tungsten teeth drum gives a robust blunt cutting edge for grinding through thick timber up to 250mm diameter, hedges, and branches. The swinging hammer teeth drum gives a cleaner, more precise cut for dense bushes, smaller trees & even slashing grass. The VM Mulchers are made from high-grade steel and are engineered to be able to cope with the toughest conditions in the mulching and forestry industries. External grease points, removeable side panels and skid plates allow for easy maintenance and a triple belt drive system will provide even the most demanding operator with the reliability they need to get the job done.
Bryn Bailey, Head of UK and European Sales, states “We are extremely excited and proud to have an approved product for Network Rail, it’s in recognition of our high standards in not only engineering great quality products but bringing the right products to the marketplace for multiple applications. Our aim is to always give customers the versatility and flexibility they need, and this mulcher was designed with this in mind”.
