Extend Your Reach with the Auger Torque Hedge Trimmer Extension

With nesting season coming to an end we wanted to share some advice on how to fit our extension to your Hedge Trimmer attachment! The Hedge Trimmer Extension is designed for flexibility and performance, this optional 1-metre extension allows you to extend your cutting reach to a total of 2.5 metres — perfect for tackling taller or wider hedges with ease.

Important:
When using the extension, the Hedge Trimmer must be mounted in the centre position of the parent machine for safe and effective operation.

Step-by-Step: How to Fit the Extension

Fitting the extension is straightforward and can be done in a few simple steps. Please follow the torque specifications and use thread locking compound as instructed.

1- Remove the Finger

• Take out the two coach bolts at the end finger and remove the finger completely.

2- Detach Cutting Blade Bolts

• Remove the two bolts from the last cutting blade.

3- Attach the Extension

• Secure the extension to the hedge trimmer using two link plates and M12 bolts torqued to 90Nm.

4- Connect the Cutting Mechanism

• Line up and attach the extension link, blade bar, and cutting blade using two M6 bolts, torqued to 10Nm with Loctite 243 applied for extra hold.

5- Refit the Finger

• Finish by refitting the finger using two M10 bolts torqued to 50Nm.
